Science

This afternoon in Science, we learned about how to look after animals and what they need to stay healthy and happy. We explored the different foods that animals eat and discovered that some animals hibernate during the colder months to help them survive. We were very excited to be given our own desk pets to care for. We signed an adoption certificate, chose a special name for our pet, and discussed the important ways we will look after it. We talked about being responsible pet owners by making sure our pets are cared for, treated kindly and kept safe. It was a fun lesson that helped us understand how to care for living things.
