Caterpillar to butterfly!
This week Rabbits have been learning all about life cycles. We have painted pattern caterpillars in maths, used our fine motor skills to make caterpillars at the playdough table, painted beautiful paper plate butterflies, made life cycle spinners and written about the different stages of metamorphosis!
Squirrels Howlett zoo visit
What a great day squirrels have had at Howletts zoo. The children really enjoyed learning about the animals and observing them in their habitats. We enjoyed learning about different animals habitats and how they adapt to them.

Rabbit class have had great fun extending their learning about the seaside this week with some pirate based activities! Developing our balance and coordination by ‘walking the plank’, using our communication and language skills to role play as pirates and revisiting number bonds to 5 using pirate treasure!

Maths focus!
Rabbits have enjoyed practicing their maths skills this week by revisiting some of our learning from this term. We have explored accurate counting and numeral recognition, 2D shapes, spatial reasoning and positional language and number bonds to 10.
1st school trip!

The great outdoors!
Rabbit class have made the most of the warm sunny weather this week by enjoying lots of outdoor activities. Creating a zoo in the sandpit, painting African sunset silhouette pictures and exploring our new solar powered water fountain!
Animal safari!
Another new term and another new topic! Rabbit class are learning all about animals. We have launched this topic with 2 new role play areas! An indoor ‘zoo vet’ and an outdoor ‘safari base’.
