We have had a great time cooking tomato sauce this week and practising cutting up the garlic! We decided it was a success after the taste test and could really taste the herbs!

Orboot continent detectives. Squirrels have been using the Orboot globes to find out about the seven continents. They used the iPads to guide themselves around the continents and learn about animals and cuisine they might find.

Candy cane maths! Today Rabbit class have been using their knowledge of repeating patterns to make some candy canes using pipe cleaners and coloured beads! These will look great hanging on our Christmas tree and gave us a good fine motor work out building our hand and finger muscles ready for writing!

Shabbat. In Fox class we enjoyed a demonstration of a Shabbat celebration. We had candles, bread and juice to represent the different items at Shabbat. We listened to Jewish music and discussed how Shabbat is a time of rest for Jewish families.

Christmas has arrived in Rabbit class! We have been feeling festive in Rabbit class this week with Christmas themed activities! A Christmas cafe in our outdoor area, gingerbread playdough table, snowman shape exploration, ‘snowball’ maths and a tree to decorate!

Neil Armstrong Fox class have loved learning more about Neil Armstrong and his life this week. They sequenced the key events to make a timeline of his life. They then used the information to make their own timelines.

Squirrels afternoon tea for the Queen Squirrels have been learning about Queen Elizabeth II and her coronation in 1953. The children created crowns and flags to celebrate her coronation. The children then had afternoon tea like the Queen.
